The psyop is making them popular, especially for women. It used to be that only savages, prisoners, gang members and prostitutes had them. Now it’s quite rare to find a young woman that has no tattoos at all.

As I see it, tattoos in early 20th century America were limited to very narrow classes of people. Sailors from the Navy, prisoners. World war 2 spun off marginalized veterans that started motorcycle outlaw culture with some beatnik influences and these adopted tattoos. Forearm tattoos almost always were to hide track mars rather than personal expression.

Tattoos further spread through rock and roll but it took some time. Even bands like Motley Crue didn't get tatted up until they were well established in their fame. Guns and Roses really established tattoos as a rock and roll lifestyle aesthetic through the reach of mtv.

Things really picked up in the 90's. It started with asian letters, tribal tats, barbed wire, ankle bands and eventually tramp stamps. By the early 2000's it became a liberal flex for college or art school attending urbanites to get sleeves while not belonging to any outlaw culture. This redefined the social signaling. At some point enough law abiding and educated people had visible tattoos that employers had to overlook it when hiring.

Blacks and latinos had their own pipeline through their respective music and prison cultures and that trickled into their working class. If you go to a hospital in an urban area, more nurses and receptionists than not have visible tattoos.

What we have here is an externalization of prison culture into society. Tattoos which were once a signal of renunciation of the norms of society have now become the norm. Wage slaves displaying past signals of rebellion to placate them from the reality of their plight. A very clever maneuver I must say.

You’re wrong and I know it. I have a strong intuition and when I see tattoos on people I experience inner discomfort. It’s like a kind of bullseye for negative entities. On top of that, it’s such a lack of respect for the human form - subconscious misanthropy. Wearing wigs is not even close to being the same thing. Permanent markings being so popular is a sign of deep collection dysfunction and demoralization.

i think tattoos have a lot of bad rep because of the superstition around them, the fact that deviants used to use tattoos to rebel and represent themselves not so long ago, it is ultimately your choice whether you want to alter your body in that way, no curses and delusional magic would change that, i think that getting a tattoo wouldn't be worth it since you wouldn't have the option to efficiently revert your decision (even with laser removal it leaves a slight mark, even if there is a mark that's okay because we humans can adapt) i want my body to be flexible, to change and alter it however i want, to open up possibilities and to be as free as possible, if i changed my whole body but my tattoo gave me away, for the person i "am", i wouldn't want that to happen, to have to bear the worry of being judged for something so minor

i think the ultimate reason for the hate is the ego of others, the superstition and the need to justify the hate, as much as normies tattoo irrelevant things on themselves, i think they either bare the responsibility and the worry of whether their tattoos are appropriate, or they're ignorant to it, both scenarios are fine, it's really irrelevant and you shouldn't pay attention to small details like that as people will always be people

I've known people who are covered in them. I think for some people--mostly people I think who are face hand neck tattoo level, just kind of have it define them to some extent and oftentimes can't undo it.

A lot of the tattoo ink (all of them desu) contain poisonous metals. A lot of these chemicals are produced in israel desu, you can look up the biggest exporter of tattoo ink- this is mostly because they have the labs to produce this, and also there is big money in producing the 'safe' inks. But they are all cancerous to some degree. Imagine smoking, but perpetually in the skin.

The skin is the largest organ of the human body, and while we are still on /x/, the skin is our biggest attenae (sensing) second to vision and sight. Usually people who are high in anxiety/ experienced trauma get tattoos, in a subsconsious effort to 'kill' the sensing part of that area/ the sensing part.

The romantic in me appreciates the symbolism and the meaningfulness in some of them (for eg suicide survivor placing tattoo on scars, or where wounds used to be)

personally did too much research on tattoos and the complexes in health it arises so getting a tattoo now would ironically cause me a huge amount of undue stress.

For those lurking, who have tattoos, try to cleanse your body and take good care of it via health, nutrition, meditation. There is no need for guilt, shame or anger. Just take good care of yourself.

/x/ is highly spiritual. Tattoos have chemicals that bond and numb your first sensing organ to nature.
Increase cancer and other health risks.

These are just a few notable reasons to the statement "who cares?".

Who cares are the people that care about their body/mind.
And even if all of this isn't spiritually harmful. No one should have an issue with exploring it.

Idk to me it seems like simple conformity to what the "cool elite people" in society are wearing , so the herd obeys and follows
Whats more interesting is considering that some people tattoo certain areas based on their traumas and past experiences , so like most people with neck tattoos are similar to others with neck tattoos
Or people pierce certain spots based on traumas, experiences and personality etc

The Bible does not explicitly prohibit tattoos, but there are some verses that are often cited in this context. The most well-known is Leviticus 19:28, which says: "You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves. I am the Lord." This verse is part of a context of ritual and cultural laws specific to the Israelites of that time.

However, the interpretation of this verse varies among different religious traditions and Christian communities. Some believers consider these laws to be specific to the people of Israel and not applicable to Christians today, while others may see them as a general principle of respect for the body.

In summary, while there are biblical references that can be interpreted as a prohibition against tattoos, the issue is complex and depends on personal interpretations and religious traditions.
