Is Jordan Peterson a gateway into esotericism? He is leading people towards heretical authors like Jung and Dostoevsky.

Absolutely not. He's an exoteric gateway into more exoteric redpill slop and his own personal exoteric narrative as he presents it. I wouldn't recommend anyone to explore esoteric frameworks through anyone in particular, they will always require personal effort, not the author's.

If your brain is wired for esoteric experiences then you’re going to have them regardless.

No one chooses to become a mystic. You just wake up in a mystical world one day and then you manage (or cope) or suffer, sometimes all of the above.

It's really sad. He is so close to entering the truth, but refuses to move beyond his generalizations. He is the reason I became a believer in the first place. I believe at one point he genuinely wanted the truth, but now he's trapped in his sophisms. All it would take is one bold Christian to challenge him genuinely to stop hiding behind his language games and truly believe in Christ. He is so close, but the gate is narrow that leads to life.

Then again, who am I to judge, I am a worthless sinner.

"Jesus of Nazareth" doesn't mean he was from a place called Nazareth, it means he was from the Essenic sect of the Nazarene. Nearly all of his teachings are based on ancient Chaldean esotericism that died out and was demonized after the Fall of the Second Temple. Christianity is the revenge of the Eternal Jew, and the truth that Christ spoke to is so much deeper than is contained in the modern Bibles.

Increasingly funny year-over-year the way Peterson makes brainlets seethe impotently

But does he understand that those authors are esoteric? It's like saying that Disney is initiating children into the occult because they made Pinocchio.

He wasn't for me and isn't for 99% of people I reckon.

But I do think he could be for a few people. He talks a lot about things like archetypes, the power of the mind, and references a lot of esoteric books (even if he doesn't realise it), talks about things like the Hero's Journey and Ring Composition, and so on. These are all things that could hypothetically start someone on an esoteric journey.

It's entirely within the realms of possibility that someone out there got nudged in the way of esotericism because of something he said.

Jordan Peterson is controlled opposition who was pushed heavily starting in 2016.
At that time there were a lot of young Western males turning towards the right and beginning to be politically active and this had to be neutralised.
Peterson was designed to redirect this energy which was moving outwards and send it inwards again so instead of participating in society and politics young men turned around and started gazing at their navels while subtly being nudged towards the political center.
He and his jewish handlers devised a plausible torrent of slop mixing conservative dog whistles, "positive existentialism" reminiscent of Colin Wilson as well as some nuggets of gnosticism and stuff ripped from sterotypical self-help manuals and psychology journals.
The result was a load of useless bullshit of no benefit to anyone except Peterson's drug dealer and the shareholders of the Daily Wire in Tel Aviv and Florida.

Jordan Peterson is a western version of Deepak Chopra.

That's not even remotely true. Chopra is a new age dirt peddler scam artist who knows exactly what he's doing, Peterson at least thinks he's doing something.

Jordan Peterson's grift operates on dual tracks: empirically, he weaponizes clinical psychology against vulnerability while mythologically cosplaying as a demigod fighting chaos dragons. Initially, he sold self-actualization (clean your room!) but pivoted to monetizing reactionary anxiety. His 12 Rules preached personal responsibility while his outrage grift—trans issues, "cultural Marxism"—absolved his base of systemic critique.

Empirically, note the bait-and-switch: academic credentials legitimize his "facts," but he drowns substantive debates in Gish gallops of Jungian archetypes. Data shows his audience skews young males adrift—he sells them patriarchal order as antidote to modernity's "chaos," yet his own addiction crisis mirrored the fragility he pathologizes.

Mythopoeically, he's a failed shaman channeling Pinocchio's Pleasure Island. He paints himself as a Solzhenitsyn-esque truth-teller but operates a multi-tier patronage scheme: $50k/month Patreon, lobotomy-tier self-help courses, Daily Wire paychecks—all while ranting about "postmodern neomarxists." His archetypal "Order vs. Chaos" narrative masks crude culture-war profiteering.

Crucially, he exploits the meaning crisis he diagnoses: offering faux-depth ("sort yourself out") while amplifying the very chaos he claims to combat. Peterson doesn't slay dragons—he breeds them, sells armor, then charges rent for dragon-storage. The tragic irony? His ideology intensifies the alienation his psychology purports to heal.
