This was like 7 or 8 years ago. I would recommend looking through the archive. Originally the OP just made each of the first letters of the sentence spell out Roy Jay but halfway down the thread he straight up mentioned Roy Jay in particular.
It was a big reason why BEN got so big in the first place.
Everyone was trying to figure out BEN and Roy Jay thinking it too was an acronym.

They can not only see you, and your bodylanguge, but they can also read your mind, and project voices into your skull.

Roy Jay is a thread that pops up every time "The Nobody" whose name is related, becomes active. Well, that's me.

I infiltrated the BEN threads like Neo diving into Smith's body, and now everybody knows everything and you can exit the matrix.

My computer username happens to be Ben (I got some new equipment after they used my 5G device to literally torture me before, but before I fully understood what BEN was), which is a heck of a weird coincidence, so sometimes I refer to myself as Ben. I posted a screenshot also about what I really wanted in life, which they took away from me.

Nah, it's because it's a very lame "think about BEN when you die and be taken out of the simulation instead of reincarnated" one liner kind of deal.
With Roy Jay, I was there, it was about evidence about his existence gradually popping up, and you were unable to find it, until someone pointed to its location.
We got actual proof with screenshots of how he didn't appear when you added "before:2007" on google, and time later a flicker link appeared when you did that, and now people could look at it.
That was it and whoever tells you Roy is more than that phenomenon wants to make it more grandiose than it is.
But the effect remains unexplained, so "it's a time traveler posting stuff about himself in the past, and you can't find the content until he jumps back and adds it" remains my favorite.

That's the assumption now, but more info is needed for a clearer picture, others claim he's a key or gateway to some huge secret server farm as well, somehow
