If vajrayana is real and the dalai lamai is a manifestation of avalokistesvara, why didn't he stop the chinese from invading?
Fuck why didn't any of them use their supposed siddhis? milarepa before he even became a buddhist was supposedly able to call down avalanches and rockslides, and could supposedly phase through physical material and do other crazy shit after he became a buddhist.
there are a lot of supposed incarnations of various buddhas and bodhisattvas from tibet, a lot of supposed rebirths of various masters capable of doing wild things with their siddhis, yet none of them did anything. they just instantly fled, or got rounded up and put in a camp, like Garchen Rinpoche.
The secret is keeping secret.
>>40713812 (OP)I, the Exorcist, by the authority of the Circle and Names of the Art, establish this pact with Astaroth (Astarte), Queen of the South, Venusian Lady of Wisdom and Desire.
I call her forth under oath, and she shall:
Deliver to me, without deceit or distortion, the exact winning number of the next lottery, so I may play and win it in full, without any obstacle.
Grant me authority over Suchay (Sitri) and Satanachia, making them familiars: obedient, loyal, and easily summoned to fulfill my will.
Attend future calls swiftly, visibly, and without the need to repeat the full ritual. Her appearance shall be clear and without delay or concealment.
Do no harmโdirectly or indirectlyโto me, my loved ones, my property, or anything tied to me.
If she fulfills this:
I shall craft her seal in pure gold and offer it.
I will build a statue of her in my future home as a shrine, to receive offerings and honor.
If she breaks this:
Her seal shall be cast into fire and brimstone.
She shall be called again under torment and judged as Solomon and Moses judged disobedient spirits.
If refusal persists, her seal will be destroyed and she shall be condemned to eternal fire, by the Ineffable Names.
So it is written, under AGLA, ON, TETRAGRAMMATON, IAO.
โSigned and sealed under the rites of the Art.

Where to even start? I feel interested in Goetia and stuff like that, and can read in french too (with a dictionary)
>>40724853No need.
Goetia of dr rudd and Jake Stratton Kent True Grimoire depending on which one do you preferKey of solomon ro Grimorium Verum.
If you are from iberoamerica or spain, also testament of cyprian the mage compared to the actual Libro de san cipriano
Anons I'm looking for any info about Solar Magick, or at least where to look
>>40724892>depending on which one do you preferKey of solomon ro Grimorium VerumI have absolutely no idea!
>>40724853I agree with this anon if you have the stones to work with demons:
>>40724892The grimoires are primers for magic, and the spirits do most of the teaching once you summon them and make a pact. You don't need anything else. That said, it's probably safer to start with the Arbatel or Sworn and Secret Grimoire and get a handle on grimoire magic through the relatively safe Olympic Spirits, who are a bit more likely to have your best interests at heart.
Other than that a regular mystical practice will greatly assist with your endeavors, in particular sensing spirits. I recommend Buddhist shamatha, metta, or zazen, but any traditional system of meditation or mysticism will work
>>40724924Read both, and Arbatel and/or Sworn and Secret Grimoire. For the Verum read the JSK edition (then if you decide to work it you should read Peterson's edition as well) Then decide. If you still don't understand what you've read, read Consorting with Spirits by Jason Miller, as well as Agrippa's three books.
>>40724924Goetia of Dr rudd uses angels to constrain the demons. it's a "safer approach" but people says that the spirits don't like it.
Grimorium verum is a very simplified way to work it, but that makes it more prone to any danger.
Libro de San Cipriano is an extended version of the Red Dragon/Grand grimoire, more in line with Grimorium Verum and is very similar to grimorium verum, good if you are spanish speaking, and the Testament of Solomon is an english commented version of that book
Grimorium Verum, red dragon, GG and San Cipriano are generaly "darker" in magic than Key of solomon/Goetia, they come from a family of books called Biblioteque Bleu, that were developed in france and Italy
>>40724903A lot of good solar spells in the PGM. PGM IV 1596-1715 in particular
>>40724903Hinduism has very extensive systems of solar worship, and planetary worship in general. Mostly consisting of mantra + homa. Different mantras and hymns for every area of life.
Many, many Hindu scriptures will have a chapter on the Surya, often saying it is a manifestation of Vishnu, along with mantras, hymns, and meditations.
Sungazing, solar yoga, astrology, planetary gemstones, yantras, nyasa yogas, surya namaskar, etc.
Ghee is the standard offering in homa, as outlined in yajurveda.
So the hindu path is more like being a celestial priest. The approach can be bhakti style, or more transactional legalistic style.
Picatrix is the premium grimoire of astrological magic, but is taboo because condemned as black magic historically, the most obvious prohibitions being in Judaism against talismans with images. If you are already aware of the Hindu planetary worship approaches outlined in their scriptures, then you will see a lot of where Picatrix rituals are coming from.

As someone who watches a lot of true crime shows and the like, I try look for intersections with the occult where I can. This led me to thinking of The Great Work/K&C etc. As far as I can gather, these things often present challenges and great upheaval in oneโs life along the way as part of the process of transformation and such. Long thought short, do any of you think some of these โoh I just snappedโ or โthere was a voice in my headโ that led me to carry out this brutal killing may have been some of these peopleโs โOne Trueโ purpose as it were in relation to an HGA or will K&C never lead you to committing such acts, but more like, hey you might get divorced! So does anyone have any idea how Oberon slots into the Goetic hierarchy? The long list of demons in the Book of Oberon is great and probably the most well-preserved we have. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but despite this it seems to not tell us who's in charge of who

>>40732968Spirits fit in whatever hierarchy in whatever manner the scribe or copyist of a grimoire thinks the spiritual ecology works in whatever context. Nothing in set in stone and you see variations between manuscripts. I just work with whatever a grimoire presents
>>40733343Of course. But that doesn't mean there's not a correct order or variations that are more or less correct. Regardless, I'd still be interested to hear people's takes on where Oberon and Mycob would fit in the Unified Goetic Hierarchy posited by Jake Stratton-Kent (pic related), as I'm somewhat interested in trying to work with them via the Verum's technologies
>>40733746Look, man. If you wanna port the BoO into some GV, that's totally up to you. Maybe something will come of it. I don't worry about occult "Theory of Everything" type shit. I just work a manuscript and see what picks up when I call. Sometimes I call the same spirit by a different name, and he's like, "Oh, hi. Yeah, I use this number too." Sometimes I think I'm calling the same spirit and a totally different one shows up. So, I don't know what the grandarching framework looks like behind the curtains, and I'm beginning to suspect most spirits don't either. A lot of them are like community theater actors who apprently show up, read through the script, and go, "Ok, so this is my role today?" Like I said, I don't think anything is set in stone. I don't even think we're etching on wet concrete or cement. A lot of these fuckers don't seem to know who they are or who they're supposed to be until you tell them. It's fucking confusing, and so far I've only met 5 other magicians who share my suspicions. If you disagree, that's fine. I can only report what I see on my end.
>>40733838NTA but maybe despite your ambivalence you might have stumbled on the framework behind the scenes?
Like a substrate of reality lacking in any solid identity until it's called forth and given a name? Just a thought.
>>40713812 (OP)What are some quick/short mantras/phrases/prayers with magik power you guys know or recommend, something you can do on the go or maybe before going to sleep instead of doing a whole ritual?
>>40733890Yeah, nah.. that's a bit too wishy washy for me even if you are on to something. I would've actually preferred it if what the other anon described was the actual truth - a Grand Unified Cross-Cultural Trans-Aeonic Watchamajiggit. I keep thinking back to Iamblichus' descriptions of spirits (not ebing able to distinguish truth from lies) and staple solomonic procedures like ascertaining the identity of a spirit. I mean.. about 3/4 of the time the spirits I conjured delivered what was requested, even if sometimes very weirdly. And often the spirits themselves weren't actually the ones I called. It's so fucking weird. I won't look gift horses in the mouth, but the horses are like that meme of half well-drawn and half shit.
i wanna preface this by saying i am not shitposting:

Are those 17th century shitpost of something?
>>40738936I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Kybalion, is in fact, Kybalion/Hermetics, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Kybalion plus Hermetics. Atkinson's "Kybalion" is not an initiatory system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Hermetics system made useful by Franz Bardon's "Initiation into Hermetics", LoA and vital system components comprising a full Esoteric System as defined by Albert Pike in Morals and Dogma.
Many occultists run a modified version of the Kyablion metaphysics every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Kybalion which is widely used today is often called Hermetics, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Kybalion system, developed by the Three Initiates.
There really is a Hermetics, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Hermetics is initiatory activities: the actions in the system that allocates empowerment to the other experiments that you run. The metaphysics of Kybalion is an essential part of a mystical system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete mystical system. Hermetics is normally used in combination with the Kybalion mystical system: the whole system is basically Kybalion with Initiation into Hermetics added, or Kybalion/Hermetics. All the so-called Hermetics are really distributions of Kybalion/Hermetics!

>>40734843I sorta drowned when I was about 8 years old and stayed unresponsive for maybe 10 minutes. So I've been able to see spirits since then. Who knows, maybe it's just brain. damage. So, I've never had to use crystals to see spirits whether it's the "Trithemian method" or something else. Having said that, I did a little experiment with a friend of mine who's not all clairvoyant but can see spirits through indirect means. He used DSIC and I just used my sight, and we both tried a conjuration of a spirit together, one that neither of us had conjured before. The idea was we'd individually keep to ourselves what we saw and compare notes later. the details were pretty much the same. I'm not sure what's going on on your end. Maybe your conjuration was successful but you simply weren't clairvoyant enough to perceive the arrival of the spirit. I really don't know what to recommend, but in case you're thinking it, please don't go drown yourself or induce NDE some other way.

>>40739040>please don't go drown yourself or induce NDE some other way.Yeah I know, lol.
What kind of indirect method did your friend use to see spirits?
>>40739040If I had to guess, I'd say your NDE just made your "astral body" remember its extrasensory faculties a bit ahead of schedule, or else that maybe it left and then reentered the body in a manner that left it a bit looser than it was before, allowing it to interact with things outside the physical dimension.
>>40741786A "singular truth" simply as a fact, rather than as a force, is not very useful anyway.
>>40742402It's sorta like we've discussed so far. Crystals, mirrors, water/oil in a vessel, dreams, etc.
>>40743897Yeah a few of my friends have speculated on how the NDE could've been a traumatic initiatory experience. It's not like I can see everything. Sometimes I can feel the presence of something but yet not see it. Spirits can choose not to interact with people even if they have some sight. One of my other friends can't see spirits but she catches impressions of their life experience. She's a pretty good artist and she showed me the faces she saw while we did some urbex in an abandoned house. That's how I figured her stuff was for real because I saw some of those faces in our walkthrough.
>>40745505How frequently do you see these guys? Do you have to go to remote and abandoned places, or do you find them in busier areas as well? Most interesting places you have ever ran into a spirit?
>>40745631Almost everyday. Sometimes I'd see a person and only later realize they weren't living beings. Most human spirits I would perceive as flesh and bone people except I wouldn't be able to interact with them physically. I see a lot of those so-called residual hauntings, but intelligent spirits I see quite often too. Occasionally a human spirit would present as "see-through". I don't know why. Non-human spirits would present as physical or non-physical (eg elementals, demons, angels, genii locorum, etc), and I also don't know why. For the spirits that we conjure like in the grimoires, Skinner's advice to find places with low human foot traffic is mostly spot-on. I say mostly because there have been a few conjurations that I performed in urban settings that were successful. But otherwise, conjuring out in rural areas is a better idea. Outside of conjuring though, I've seen spirits everywhere even in busy places. A quick note about the "demons" of the grimoires: about the only times I've seen them arrive as described in manuscripts (eg with a retinue of servitors, in anthropomorphic animal forms etc etc) was when I used dual sight, ie using my own eyes and also scrying with a crystal. They'd appear as human or white masses with vague shape to my eyes, but would have a dual appearance in the scrying medium. For subsequent contact without all the ceremonial bells and whistles they'd just appear as human. Most interesting places I've ever seen a spirit? Probably within my own circle. It was a flex, I suppose. As if to say, "You know, for some spirits this circle doesn't keep you as safe as you'd like to think." I tried one of the operations in Rain Al Alim's Jinn Sorcery, and to my surprise something did appear in my toilet except not as described.
>>40713812 (OP)I'm a occultism newfag but have some shallow knowledge and am a bit curious.
Thereโs this 70+ year old businessman that I know, Master Mason, and heโs said some odd shit. Talks about having a "guardian angel" giving him insider info and warnings, more than once mentioned drinking goat blood on top of a hill for some ritual, had pictures of the Virgin Mary (Inana? Babalon?) around his office. Heโs also involved with DeMolay, and when it comes to Freemasonry, he swears only the first 3 degrees really matter. In more than one occasion called me "Neophyte" when he noticed that I had some low-level knowledge about occultist themes
Does this sound like Thelema or some occult Mason stuff?
ChatGPT seems to think it's either O.T.O or Memphis-Misraim + Thelema
>>40713812 (OP)>>40746897Another one:
I had a friend in high school. Son of a corrupt cop. Came from another state because supposedly that's where his mom lived.
Went to class with me for about 2 years, we were best buddies. Then, out of nowhere, joins some sect of judaism (he's already VERY semitic-looking) and distance himself completely from his friends.
Right before we lost touch, he gave me a book of Kabbalah and told me to read it and tell him what my thoughts are (I never did). Also spoke about drinking some different kind of sweet wine in a cultu and had a strange fixation on some redhead girl there
Moves back to his town.
Starts working for Disney Channel Somehow.
Becomes gay.
His father is now a politician.
He was an only son. From the little I know about occultism, freemasonry and the elite's cult, I'd say it is very probable he was some kind of "sacrifice".
Thoughts?
you are all still caught within the lie of mechanistic causation
>>40746953>"they don't even know...">autistic chortling
>>40746897From what I've heard from masons, most of the occult stuff in masonry is not really there anymore, it really is just mostly a fraternal order that basically tries to inculcate enlightenment values in people + nepotism. So it makes sense that he said that only the first three degrees matter and that he went looking somewhere else for more serious juice. The guardian angel stuff does sound like Thelema.
>>40746031>I used dual sight, ie using my own eyes and also scrying with a crystalHow does that work? You simultaneously look in the general direction you expect the demons to appear, while holding an appropriate crystal in front of your eyes such as clear quartz?

>this is literally the fucking worst sun/blaspheme you can commit
theres no fucking winning at these things is there?
>>40755272You could become a gnostic or Buddhist. It's arguably better not to have children in these religions
>>40755326i dont even know where to start in terms of studying buddhism. gnosticism just seems like some cheap attempt to make christianity appealing to greco roman pantheon worshippers.
>>40755272>>exception being i dont want kids (for now at least)where did you see that in the corpus?
>>40755497for buddhism, dhammahub on youtibe has a pretty good series, and a free book.
>>40755550thanks i'll check that out
>>40755528shit good catch, i believe its in the discourse to asclepius
>>40755916>shit good catch, i believe its in the discourse to asclepiuspost the quote with some context. it is more than probable that this is a metaphor of some kind.
>>40756497>>40755916nta, but if I recall correctly it is literally that, have children.
I think it might be connected to ancient sumerian belief in the realm of the dead, where Gilgamesh when talking with the ghost of Enkidu discovers that people with no children receive no donations in the afterlife, thus starve and suffer.
>>40756772i don't think that type of shit would matter in a hermetic context, rather i'd imagine it's more symbolic, having more to do with the fact that the god creates, and therefore that which aims to be like the god must also create.
>>40713812 (OP)When should you/when should you not include your own blood in an offering to a spirit?
If someone is obsessed with you, can they start having metaphysical affects on your health? Especially if they're a family member? I find myself feeling sick and exhausted when they, and it keeps feeling like their health is linked to mine, and I didn't know if there's anything I can do to break that.
Doing some digging into the Headless Rite/Bornless Rite. Theurgical identification with a deity is normally a powerful and positive method of doing things, but am I the only one surprised to see this applied to a deity literally named and depicted as "the Headless One"? Isn't that a bit too sinister? My head is pretty important to me...
Was anyone here ever used to scry as a child? For those who don't know, it's very traditional to have a child perform your spirit scrying as you perform an evocation. I'm curious what it's like from first-hand accounts
>>40758280your head/ego is what separates you from experiencing transcendence as it maintains the feeling of separation.
creating the body/vessel with vocalization for the diety to ensoul itself in.
think about those things for a little bit.
>>40758794I think there is a sound logic to that, but it is still somewhat intimidating. Say, in Mithraism, or in Tibetan Buddhism, the initiate takes on the nature of the god, but the god has its own identity. Becoming Mithras seems more alluring to me than becoming a Headless One, so to speak.
I have a hypothesis that the rite is just intended to take control of the disembodied and formless power of the universe, which is in many respects "headless". But the rite still feels somewhat fearsome to me.
Thoughts on Steiner? Will following through the exercises in Knowledge of the Higher Worlds give the intended result of awakening higher senses?
Alternatively, would just working through a grimoire like the Arbatel give similar results?

>>40755272To become a good occultist you must embrace what you resist. Imagine having a large family.
Just learnt that in Tibetan Buddhism, attaining a deep meditative state at the moment of death is supposed to help you influence your next incarnation. Which means that you could probably reincarnate yourself in the Avici hell if you wanted even if your karma would reincarnate you in the god realm, lol.

The first step to combining magic with technology is to have sigils for a ritual present on a phone or computer screen while conducting the ritual
Consult your spirit guide on other ways you can modernize ritual magic
If a demonic spirit can appear suddenly on a phone or computer screen, then magic can be done through that medium as well

Sigils on an electronic screen are the first step to having techno magic

I bought a cheap copy of the Goetia (the Lesser Key of Solomon), and it is difficult to understand. What exactly are you supposed to do? It just seems like someone's personal magical diary that might be best used as an example of how to make a grimoire. I supposed I'm a bit obtuse, but I can't really see how to use this book to do anything of consequence. I don't even see many actual instructions in this book.
>>40765032The keys of Solomon are not exactly step by step instructions. You have to read them, comprehend them and outline the method from there. As far as old texts go though, they are not that hard to make sense of.
>>40765032The Lesser Key is really incomplete and hard to work. I recommend a better grimoire like the Verum or another Clavicula variant
>>40765205>>40765459I have had success in commanding demons using a few Seals of Solomon to command demons to go from Point A to Point B. Demonic spirits are basically the homeless people of the spirit world and need a place to inhabit, or in their words โa new home,โ whether it be a tree, a building, or even better, a person. I messed around with it and the King of Demons Belial got involved and I canโt control him. Doing my best not to get possessed by him
The Spirit said โI need a new Homeโฆ.โ
>>40765850And the spirit said โYou will be my new Homeโฆโ I said โThere will be no such new home here, you will live over thereโ
>>40765850These were the ones I used
>>40765850If you didn't even make an attempt to follow the grimoires as structured, you shouldn't be surprised that things are going wrong. Demonolatry is not only cringe but dangerous and poorly thought-out ahistorical nonsense
>>40714159What fruit has this book yielded for you
>>40765459What's better about the Verum? I skimmed it after reading the two keys and Doctor Rudd's Goetia. Seemed like basically the same content.

>>40769572that's how you know it's a safe ritual abstraction; if you already know that the worst sin is actually a moral imperative you know all rules in there are for breaking, duh
>>40756497Ive heard the metaphor being by "kids" they mean like creating something or nurturing something. Like art, music, writings or like mentoring someone younger or raising animals. Basically as long as you use your god given reason to further the human race culturally or physically through creation. But i cant say for certain if this is cope or not.
>>40723266>>40762913I've only started to read through it, but I've heard good things.
>>40769597i can't see any logical reason why having children would be considered necessary, besides mimicry of god's creative power. of which biological children are just one form.
>>40767903Rudd's Goetia is good. If you avoid the other Lesser Keys like in particular the Mather's edition, you should be okay
