There are no such "magical stages" and magic doesn't operate on emotions - you can use them as a focus and to hype yourself up but otherwise it's up to whatever works for you. Most decent practitioners work in largely emotionless trance state.

Grief + cold rage + hate + confusion and detachment, resentment and disgust with a bit of existential terror sprinkled in, built on a basis of unconditional love.
if you are in a blind rage of hatred and summon a demon to curse somebody thats gonna be a powerful ass spell. if you are in a place of grief or sorrow and use it to empty yourself and ask for something like peace or wisdom thats a pretty badass spell. if you are so full of unconditional love that you do some magic to exude beneficent gifts upon all you come into contact with you gonna be doing a pretty powerful ass spell. if you're performing semen retention or sexual transmutation for the power to attract a 10/10 you gonna be doing a powerful ass spell.
