This reminds me of when I worked at a UPS warehouse and one of the managers asked me if I wanted to become a manager only two weeks in. Felt sus but I played it diplomatically saying she should ask one of my seniors. I figured maybe nobody wanted that job and for good reason. For all the big show they make about their union, warehouse workers are treated like shit in comparison to their drivers. And very oddly, the managers weren't a part of the union.
