Why would aliens look anything like us? I've never heard a good explanation that wasn't "they seeded life" which would cause so many other problems as far as the timeline goes. Because we can trace all life here to a single organism. Mammals being top dog at all has only happened once so far. I guess I could see some bipedal raptor looking guys as humanoid. Stretching it though. Even that example still came from Earth. And is now birds.

They seeded life. Life naturally evolved one earth though. Seeding life can be grafting DNA into a species, its not simply placing a species somewhere. As for appearance, in the realm where all psychic interactions occur, everything is a manifestation of thought. Beings can shape shift at will.
The more advanced beings have a wider range of shapes their consciousness can hold onto as a manifestation of their will.
Human form though, is part of what our souls meant to become when they came to this galaxy.
Souls come from the same place, so even when they go to multiple planets, they tend to morph the evolution of life according to their own needs and desires. The human form was experimented with through multiple iterations. there used to be 10 different kinds of 'human', that lived on earth, compared to what we have now.
