>>40744062 (OP)I have two sons. Decided not to circumcise either of them. Im circumcised, my father is too. I dont resent my parents or grandparents for circumsizing their children. Its common in the US, the (((Medical))) industry preaches about its health benefits (there are some but they are minor and redundant given access to basic plumbing) and so I get it.
When it came to my kids, i convinced my wife not to, she initially wanted them cut since her father and brothers are but after explaining how its essentially genetically mutilation and the benefits of it are null at this point she was completely on board with having them be uncut. Luckily my family and her family didnt say shit about us having uncut boys and supported our decision. Also, I have several friends with baby boys and they aren't giving them the snip either.
I feel like with this younger generation in the US, especially if youre trad like my wife and I are and our friends, there is a major shift happening where people are luckily not giving their kids the snip.
Finally, the only people other than the US and its colonies (SK, Canada) who cut their kids are jews, Muslims and Africans. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about the practice
