What can you tell me about Bigfoot? Specifically regarding its appearance and then disappearance through things which seem like portals, especially in the Appalachias, or in this case, the American Northwest.

Dogs chase the scent of the Bigfoot when their masters are hunting or hiking but seem to lose the scent once the scent is suddenly too far off. This seems to be most prominent in the American Northwest. Is there a portal theory worth investigating here?
