It makes 0 difference. Russia doesn't have (frankly never had) the capability to launch an invasion in another hemisphere, they can't even operate in the black sea at this point. They've been decimated in Ukraine to the point where their regional power status depends wholly on their nuclear weapons because they are out of professional soldiers and out of conventional supplies and armaments. Even their presence in places like Africa is via pmcs because they don't have the funding or men to do it through their military. Beyond that, they are in the midst of an economic and population crisis. It's going to take a bit longer than 10 years to get back on their feet, let alone strong enough to figure out the logistical hurdles of crossing an ocean in order to invade another continent. In fact I'd say Russia is more in danger of breaking up at this point than the US
