This isn't for retards to screech and seethe that it's fake either. I miss it when /x/ had actual first hand stories, so let's bring it back for once.

Essentially, every story of interest happens because people who aren't well-enough versed in ouija board usage panic when things go awry and forget the rule about never abandoning the session nor allowing it to be ended by force of the contacted entity.

Also judging by the stories, it seems in no case has a non-malevolent "spirit" ever been contacted. It's a mechanism for contacting demons only, who sometimes like to pretend they are not demons, and other times choose not to try to harm those who've contacted them.

If the session is concluded with "Goodbye" every time and the hands never leave the planchent before then, then all will be fine. Aside from temporarily lying about their identities until pressed, they seemingly always choose to tell the truth about whatever is queried unless they refuse to answer altogether. And they are omniscient.

What makes a spirit board a spirit board? Do you need 2 people? Ive always tried getting contact and broken all the rules and nothing and I mean nothing has happened. I made this thing 2 years ago and it hasn't worked. Do i have to cave into consumer markets and buy the damn thing? Only tired it alone

if it's true, it may be that the planch is the actual medium; but that contradicts stories that focus on disturbing post-session board activity like showing up in places it wasn't moved to, or horrifying activity after being broken
I have heard stories where solo activity worked
if I was in your shoes I would shell out for an actual constructed board to be certain

I get it. Thanks for the reply. You gave me the answer that I needed to hear not the one I wanted to hear. It just doesn't make sense is all. Before it became a commercial thing mediums had to construct these to talk to the spirits. One afternoon I got a "Fernando" and thats my uncle's name and was answering questions over at /div/. I cant be for certain though it can be a wild mind willing it into existence scenario. I would have thought making it by hand and literally having my blood and sweat in it would have worked. I even made the planch and board out of old cutting boards. Its had pounds if dead animal flesh on it and when I was taking the soldering iron to it it smelled like carne asada. Now i kinda use it to do tarot reads on it but i should "practice" the ouija more or like you said if it fails just buy the damn thing. I cant escape the consumerism

Maybe that's the issue though. Imagine getting on a bus and having to choose between a clean seat and one that looks (and smells) as if someone used it as a butcher's table several times. You'd pick the clean one, right? If you really want to make your own you could try making it from a fresh cutting board and see if you get results.

I would have thought it would have had the opposite effect. Damn it all. Well im not going through all of that again for a maybe id rather buy it. If it works out and I dont get possessed or haunted or killed then ill make one from a clean slab. First im gonna try this thing out a few more weekends from now till the end of the year. I feel it more "in tune" during fall and winter. It can be just my own vibrations though but ill try it out before buying one. On a side note I always thought it would be really funny to wrap it in white cloth with red dye and put it in a brief case with chains and steel wrapped around it and place it in my attic so when I have kids I can always tell them "dont open that" knowing one day they will lmaooooo
