OP here again. After doing some research, I can confirm that what I saw was definitely not a pale crawler. The woman I encountered appeared to be young, maybe in her early twenties. She had makeup on and was quite attractive, except for her disturbing grin. Her skin was unnaturally pale, but she didn't look like a crackhead. I would describe her as being of average height and weight.

In other words, we're discussing a being that looks like an attractive, pale, blonde woman with an unnaturally wide smile. I read a Wikipedia article about the Yuki-Onna, and she seems somewhat similar, but not exactly the same.

Early last year I started to contemplate and hypothesize the physiology and possible taxonomy of humanoid cryptids, namely the crawlers and what /x/ refers to as skinwalkers. I've heard people tell tales of similar creatures on paranormal podcasts. They seem to always have an impossibly large grin and they trigger a strong sense of dread and fight or flight response sometimes even before the person in question are able to notice their abnormal features. Black Ridge Rd to be specific, I was traveling north-east from Parkton to Hope Mills and I saw it in one of the large swathes of woodland on the other side of the road.
