Why don't people call THE satan Samael? Lucifer, like satan, is also just a description. It also doesn't match angelic naming conventions. They all end with "el".

Nothing in the bible explains what Satan even is or how God respects Satan enough to make a deal with him about Lot. I also don't remember it ever listing the names of angels.
Most of the mythos about angels is just plain made-up.
