There is some truth here and there. I don't read religious texts, but I have spoken to some of the spiritual figures described in them.
I think in the long term as much as I am able, and that tends to involve, how can the soul of mankind create a future where humanity is able to live in peace with itself in perpetuity.
To that end, engaging in religion is a must. The question is, how to bring peoples hearts together, so that they are no longer enemies to each others lives. Religion takes focus, because it has already united large sections of humanity. The question is, how to unite those sections together in such a way as to liberate humankind from fear and hatred, while respecting boundaries and principles of voluntary trade between groups.
Its tough right now, for obvious reasons.
On one hand, we have Ukraine and Russia, not really a religious conflict per se, not even a partiularly ethnic conflict, more so a conflict over economic segmentation.
On the other hand, we have Israel and Gaza, very religious and ethnic, over territory, and rights to exist as a people in perpetuity.
Both expressing different evils within humankind.
I focus on Israel, because its closer to my heart. I have little connection to Russia and Ukraine, but there is the heritage of civilization throughout the Mediterranean, and that strikes my sensibilities as a person.
What is happening spiritually, is that war is occurring within mankind, and all our souls feel that, we can't ignore that its happening. It effects us one way or another, and the question is, what is the antidote to this poison effecting mankind?
How do we dispel this cloud of fear, and replace it with a just and enduring peace? It starts within the hearts of men. When they can tell their leaders, enough, its time to change. When they feel great love which gives them the courage to demand righteousness, rather than power.
