I kill the spiders that enter my home and let live the spiders that don't.
This encourages civilised behaviour and politeness.
As I also kill other insects that do this, there is no discrimination.
My reasoning is very simple. My home is my safe space where I don't have to worry about other lifeforms messing with me. I need that safe space. It's not a huge mansion, just a little apartment. If they desperately want to go somewhere nice, they can go to the palace.

I don't kill any bugs unless they actually become an issue, an ant here or a spider there is not going to harm me in any way. and they usually keep eachother in check. If the flow of life moves through my domicile without becoming an issue I let it flow unimpeded.
