Literally every single human will tell you that the pandemic years felt like a time warp, no matter where they lived or what they were doing. The usual cope for this is that it was because of the lockdowns but I didn't live any different before than during the pandemic and still felt it. Are there any /x/ theories of what happened and how was every government in the world convinced to freeze their economy for a virus that has 99% survival rate?

I guess the reason was to punish the little business owners who didn’t have that much of an emergency fund saved up. So they purposely shut down the restaurants and movie theatres and elsewhere to get them to sell for less. It’s always about the rich getting more control and power and money. They messed up though in the fact that many people used that time to get a real street level online education.

I recall one moment when I went to the store to buy some milk and eggs and there was a security guard doorman there with a fucking bulletproof jacket on so I had to wait outside in a line, then I get into the store and it's quiet in the store cause everyone is practcally afraid to breath let alone talk, then I hear some old lady bitching really loud, "That's not right! i thought about this before too. i think there are a lot of people out there that are right of the edge of losing their shit and freaking out under normal circumstances when some degree of stress is applied, like losing a job or a divorce. you take a large segment of the population and stress them out, terrify them and surround them with the possibility of death. They just lose their fucking mind. Me, I used it as a time to chill and relax. Became a couch potato, ate junk food and played video games. I did feel a little nuts after about 6 months of lockdown. It was kind of like what solitary confinement must be like. But I just found ways(mostly through technology) to entertain myself and it wasn't so bad.
