There are people who literally admit that they think consciousness doesn't exist. Since consciousness is self-evident for an actually conscious person, the simplest explanation for who people like Daniel Dennett believed this is because they themselves aren't conscious beings. If that isn't evidence for the existence of NPCs, I don't know what is.

When you only count physical people. But there are fake people too. They're like tulpas, projections created by psychics. They're not material but can look real. If the psychics invest enough energy, you can even touch this "people".

The simple fact someone gets so triggered when you tell them they don’t have a soul/consciousness is enough to show me they do, I.E them getting emotional and feeling anger ect ect.

I seriously think aphantasia is just a symptom of repressed creativity and consciousness, and they’re ultimate form of this suppression is the people that have no inner monologue thus they have to be told what to do.

theres a biological aspect, evolutionary
then theres the environmental aspect.
there are therefore natural npcs
and unnatural npcs

natural npcs, theres nothing you can do. they simply dont have the hardware. its like trying to play gta5 on a black and white gameboy. its never happening.

the unnatural npcs are another matter entirely. these people undergo an imprinting early in life which essentially tries to derail their natural trajectory to be like the natural npcs. theyre usually targetted young, so it becomes foundational to their entire identity, their cognitive modes of thinking.
if you can get to these people before their neuroplastic period ends, they *might* have a chance, and even then.. theres alot of residual npc symptoms, and theyre constantly flickering between the two.
to be a full-blown player, if you are an unnatural npc, you pretty much have to make a conscious decision to scrub everything you were and taught and manually reassess almost everything from scratch by your own accord. its a long and tedious process. you cant just trust the experts, because the experts are so often npcs. so you have to factor for that and learn to compensate for whats tainted and whats not.
thats not to say you cant trust certain things, like if you breathe underwater you will drown. but as far as religion, history, your environment, good and evil, gods, morals, all of that stuff, its necessary.

aphantasia (and no inner monologue, which is a form of phantasia) doesn't mean someone is an npc. npcs can have the full ability of phantasia, phantasia is probably more of a physical ability of the brain. npcs are undeniably real.
