if its alive in any sense of of the word its alive because people keep it alive, like this site. sadly this site isnt as lively as it was when i was younger.

sadly i think ai is kind of killing it, like the 2 bots sending emails back to each other forever, if we call that living i would have to disagree. they don't create anything new, they don't split or evolve, the ai memes are getting better but that's prompting by someone outside of the ai.

the net isn't dead, but it is dying, because attention to the net isn't as much as it used to be. they removed our ability to show displeasure, they limited the spaces we could exist in and just be people, they keep trying to box us in, remove the curtain, and keep injecting it with viruses(bots), keep telling us what we can look at, what is allowed to be played, etc.

like idk, we cant really save the net if they're going to section it all off from each other, if they're going to make everything we post be tied to our irl selves, keep us from seeing anything "scary" like we did growing up. like sure some of us will post per capita data and quote stats till the day they die, but theyve effectively neutered the net and i dont think it will ever go back to being alive without all those things getting rolled back, because even all that will eventually be whitewashed and sold to the corpo overlords
