I don’t think so. This entire concept hinges on the idea that all probabilities are real. But there’s no evidence of that. It’s just a thought experiment. The best explanations you’ll get involve heavy misunderstandings of wave function collapse and other woo.
In terms of simplicity, it’s as complex as you can get. Each tiny change results in an infinite cascade of subsequent universes. If a theory of reality requires an infinite amount of complexity, it might not be accurate.
It’s simpler to view the universe as a singular structure that is moving through time. Outcomes that happen happen and outcomes that don’t happen do not exist.
This all comes from the idea that a statistical prediction must be real somehow. It’s just an educated guess.
