Assuming it wasn't a hallucination, who or what touched my back when I was praying? Was it God, an angel, or some other supernatural force? What does the touch mean?

Or, was it not neutral at all? Does the gentleness of the touch, and the fact that I received the touch at all, somehow prove that God is good?

Was it sexual or not a sexual touch? A succ or female spirit?

I felt the same way anon and these day's it's a simple matter of results. If I ask for something and get it, I ask myself honestly how the results feel, and if they do not feel evil, I assume they are not.

I mean being something of that nature is a huge bonus, but I think of scientists and thinks who found God simply because they figured out how to study math or arts or literature to the point that it led to the understanding of the infinite and beyond. In other words, discovering from a materialistic approach at first, but studying the material long enough to see that it too comes from God.

According to Catholic tradition, it could have been an angel or your guardian angel. Very unlikely it was God Himself.

It may have been barely related at all. Sometimes when one's mind persistently and desperately reaches/ponders in the topic of spirituality, it can draw spiritual entities. But the touch was not accompanied by a voice confirming its source or answering my question. It was a touch alone. It freaked me out, which in turn increased my faith in God a LITTLE BIT through confirmation of the supernatural/invisible world. Trust me, if you were in this situation you would be as spiritually confused as I am. Without a voice saying "I am an Angel touching you, God is Good!" It's hard to come to any conclusions other than "something supernatural of the invisible world touched me" which is still an incredible experience on its own.

One thing that makes me believe it may be SOME force aligned with the Good is the type of touch I received: a gentle touch. I believe in demons and demonic possession/oppression, in which people report getting bruises or scratches from demons. My experience makes me believe these cases are real, because if I could have a gentle touch, so could people have a harmful touch by something of the invisible world. I was not bruised or scratched by this touch, therefore at the VERY MINIMUM we can agree this must have been at least a neutral, if not Good-aligned, supernatural force.

This is where I'm at now, I appreciate everyone's replies. I will pray that you all may experience something like this in your lifetime as well but with the hope that it brings you closer to God rather than leaving you questioning the experience.

Angels have to remind you that they are on your side because they are scary AF. "Do not be afraid" because our monkey brains need to hear it just so we can engage.

Benign is a term used for harmless cancers. Not something that takes your attention.

I fear poisonous spiders. I fear falling out of an airplane. I fear g-man black bagging me.
