the problem with religion is that it doesn't evolve. back in the day, it was medically necessary to stop the bleeding 'cleanly'. also, my guess is circumcision was started because early man didn't clean his dick thus creating painful infections. today, neither circumcision nor sucking the blood of one are medically necessary, but people keep doing it in the name of thousands of years-old texts.
