Same happened with 9/11 and the patriot act (no, I don't think that 9/11 was made up just to enact a law against constitution, but that this law accured due to the events of 9/11, which was at least very helpful for the ones in power (not Bush). COVID-19 was and still is, while not explicitly deadly, actually dangerous. Chinese authorities were actively struggling to contain it. It probably did leak from a lab, created from biological testing of multiple others. However instead of quarantining China like they should've, powers that be saw an opportunity to exploit the situation and jumped on it, deliberately creating an economic catastrophe out of it to consolidate their own power over the commonfolk before restarting society as "the new normal" where everything has been getting worse for everyone but a select few who dictate that everything.

It was something matrix related. Maybe preplandemic life was using too much resources, so they had to bs a reason to stop/slow everything. Maybe buggy NPCs were getting implemented, hence the mask. Maybe they just needed to switch status quo, so they shook things up a bit.

All I know is after it, everything has felt fake to me. I realized this world is a dreammatrix in early 2021. By late 2021, the world suddenly felt void of people. Still does to be honest.

If we had an economic model that more directly reflected karma, then there would be less generation of both positive and negative karma, and we might end up with a spiritual bottleneck, where everyone is a God and there is no suffering or hardship for all of eternity, which might result in extreme boredom, and possible suicide of Gods. Which might then result in remaining Gods performing necromancy and recreating the system of karma.
