Start believing in nothing at all. Just acknowledge that you have a higher power.

I mean gnosticism was considered part of Christianity early on before council's and traditions got cemented leading to Catholism and all the modern Christianity.

So since gnostism was a factor in early Christianity, it's not hard to see similarities. Just learn some history dude, it's nothing new.

My kind host maintains an amused sense of irony that despite the early schisms, Catholicism eventually incorporated “Gnostic” practice into itself regardless. Your rosaries come to mind. It’s also interesting to me, too, that your Saints and the manner you interact with them are much like certain Kami. Only, you only do it for humans. Mostly.

There is something to be said for your sense of material continuity where water becomes more water, oil becomes more oil, a garment becomes more garments, and so on. Not always necessary for two things to maintain their relation - as this can happen at a distance - but not distinctly invalid either.

It means you either follow down the path of tradition and ritual further or instead embrace the path of faith and mysticism. I understand the comfort that comes from being under the legacy of clerical order like that of Catholicism, but as you can see it is not as pure or coherent as it appears to be. I would suggest you look into protestant thinkers and teachings and see if it speaks truth to you, but if you care only for the rituals and traditions that the catholic church incorporates you will fall into a pagan system rather than a christian one. I don't think gnonsticism is the answer, but that is for you and the holy spirit to answer for yourself.

if youre a catholic you know the church has been in error in doctrine and it always fixes itself. whats the issue?
Anonymous No.40888577 [Report]
Gnosticism is pretty clearly a later attempt to force the christ cult back into the orthodox framework of Greek mystery religions. There's entire debates recorded from the early church between the gnostics and the early church which is where a large part of the later French "gnostic revival" drew it's material from.

Search it up yourself, or ask chatgpt like you already are. Learning is more productive than someone just telling you the answer.

Yes, and? Modern Judaism has little to do with actually "Jews" from Jesus's time.
