In the current time, we are now seeing a surge in nihilistic talk and thought on here due to many powerful people being exposed for their immoral behaviour. I believe we are being tested to see whether we will succumb and embrace a lifestyle of immorality in order to acquire material wealth or live a good life in spite of it. Thoughts?

deep post covid era is heavy materialism and full of intellectualization without understanding the root cause of anything. the rock-bottom moment is often the catalyst for awakening but not very optimistic on how things will turn out

Materialism is definitely being pushed on us now more than ever. Digital materialism too; Movies and games we don't actually own and digital money too.
I've been having this dream every now and then that I discover a new empty room in my house. Part of me is relieved that I have a quiet space where I can focus while the other part wants to use it as storage for more stuff. Getting over materialism is one of the main things I've been wanting to do with myself along with living like an actual good Christian (very different from many of the so-called 'Christians' you see in America and especially in American politics).
