All magicians end up as NEETs and schizos if they keep doing it. The esoteric is like a parasitic byproduct of exoteric society.

Thousands of years ago you had Roman magic priests in the collegium pontificum dragging behind society, starting death cults out in the woods and demanding everyone else pay for their shit and follow their rules.

A hundred years ago, and to this day in third world countries, you have magicians living in huts and caves giving people witch doctor remedies that kill them and causing divorces and illnesses in families because someone paid them 4 goats.

Nowadays magicians life off government benefits in their NEEThole not working a real job because their obsession with the esoteric has made them go terminally online and socially uncouth. Eventually, like all "good" magicians they go schizo and therefore antithetical to the modern social contract as they take gibs and never give back anything.

All the best, and pretty much all "career" magicians die decrepit and alone. Look at Aleister Crowley and Evola as examples. Magic is something that ruins a person in this life and the next.

So yes, it's entirely possible to be a NEET magician because if you keep at it, magic will leave you destitute anyway.

Not in
Employment,
Education, or
Training

Being a magician is like 90% Education and Training, and if you're good at it you can generate your own income which is the same thing as employment.

There is a reason masons and jews wait until you are at least 40 before initiating in this - it can easily take over your life, cause mild schizoaffective disorders in healthy adults, full blown psychosis if you have a genetic predisposition to mental illness… Not trying to be negative here just realistic, it takes a certain type of person to get benefits from this stuff and 99% of people do not meet those requirements.

If you’re here because you like watching conspiracy theory videos or reading self help books, sorry, you have nothing to gain from the occult - if you have been reading philosophy, theory, history, religious texts, writing journals, conducting your own scientific experiments and researching metaphysics since highschool then there is a small chance you could benefit…(extremely unlikely) If you are in the 1% you never need to be told this, as you have gathered all this information yourself and have already been invited to join an order after speaking with members and impressing them with your knowledge - My advice to everyone in this thread is speak to a therapist, not some shitty government funded one but pay for a good therapist and make sure you have a job, any job it doesn’t matter what, being a NEET is the worst thing you can do for your own development, the mind deteriorates without daily challenges and you become unproductive like a spoiled child and the longer this goes on the worse it gets, focus on becoming an functioning adult and starting a family- forget about all this stuff for at least the next 20 years

There are three essentialist tiers to magic(k) and to being a practitioner. Each level increases social isolation and an inability to fit in with society. Thus the arc of magical development tends toward NEETdom.

Level 1 - The Charlatans (e.g. Anton LaVey and Simon Magus)

This is the most basic level of magic and it is primarily used by con artists and low-level manipulators. In essence it isn't magic at all, but instead is just taking advantage of obscure psychology and physical laws to dazzle, deceive and manipulate others. Street magicians and pick up artists and basically any normie that lies in order to achieve some tangible result (usually money or sex). Perhaps the people involved have some sort of latent in-born magical sensitivity that aids their deceptions, such as how some people are far more empathetic and can accurately understand others without any real effort.

Tier 2 - Initiates (e.g. Marie Laveau and Michael Aquino)

This is the first true tier of magic, and it requires actual time being spent developing an understanding of the esoteric. Hence our use of "initiate" to denote magical initiation. Generally speaking, to make it here requires some sort of mentorship and disciplined learning in a magical tradition or organization, though the initiate often breaks away from these groups as they grow. The interests of these people inevitably shift away from normal hylic concerns for things like money and social status towards less tangible goals like power and knowledge. Rituals develop and lifestyles change, and usually you can expect social status to drop as normies inevitably find these types "weird." You won't find them doing street magic and running con artist scams, but you will find them forming clandestine groups and sometimes hanging around in politics. While it isn't required, they may become powerful manipulators or involved in terrorist groups. This is the highest that most people who are interested in magic will travel.

Tier 3 - Magus (e.g. David Myatt and Julius Evola and Arturo Reghini)

This is the highest level that magic initiates achieve, and those that travel this far are almost entirely uninterested in society. While they may have been involved in groups or political movements in their younger years, they now prefer to spend lives in seclusion to greater and lesser extents. Some become monks or hermits, and others just live quiet lives where they study and write about whatever their magical interests can be. Often times they are uninterested in even passing along their teachings to students, though some continue to take students at this point. Their work is towards the soul and higher reality, not material success. Normies find them frightening or repugnant on principle.

Friendly reminder that the o9a was created and run by British intelligence services as a way to recruit assets for their pedophile networks, domestic terrorism, paramilitary groups, etc

And? Temple of Set had high level military intelligence membership. Freemasons also have numerous sordid high-level government collaborators. GRU-P did all sorts of crazy criminal stuff. Michael Aquino was a high level Rosicrucian. Do I even need to mention the SS?

Intel agencies are always involved in magical groups/orders and usually its quite scummy.
