There’s definitely overlap in the sense that all three try to describe human growth, but the Map of Consciousness isn’t just a restatement of Maslow or Erikson.

Maslow’s hierarchy is about meeting progressively higher external and internal needs. Erikson’s stages are about psychosocial tasks at different life ages.

The Map of Consciousness, on the other hand, focuses on qualitative states of being, levels of energy, awareness, and worldview, that can shift regardless of age or material circumstances. You could be broke but radiating unconditional love, or wealthy but stuck in fear.

It’s less about a ladder of needs and more about a spectrum of consciousness.
