my doc is a bit slow so I had to ask him twice for the exams on bloodwork, thyroid, cortisol, and the autoimmune markers came clear for the first time in my life but I keep having pains in my joints, weird allergies, losing breath and fever sometimes. The sugar levels are okay and I eat well but I keep losing weight (97lbs now). It's winter down here so not enough sunlight as I'm used to but last time I checked vitamin D it was normal too. In a scale of 1 to 10, I'm around 7. Mostly because I don't feel physically okay to do what I need, so it ends up making me more stressed. This all got started after I had an episode of gas leaking in my apartment and fainted earlier this year, but even then my vitals were normal and I was told that I was just nervous and exaggerating in my reaction and didn't need to go to the hospital. But yea who wouldn't freak out knowing you almost died intoxicated or close to blow up the building?

I asked for an extra cortisol exam because my doc didn't, and it was also normal. It didn't cross my mind checking my ladies hormones as well but now I remember when I was suffering from endometriosis and every doctor I had was telling me it was kidney, appendicitis, gallbladder, pancreas but never wanted to check my ovaries... Seems like women's issues are often overlooked and I might be getting menopause sooner than expected...

I don't live in the US but I know the channels to report but it's really infuriating whenever you can't talk about your pain without it being dismissed as mental health issue. I know I'm crazy but pain is making me crazier...

Circling back to receiving better medical care, try taking photos during major flare-ups. Assuming you might not already, even just a facial shot to prove you’re overheating could be worthwhile. The issues seem to be autoimmune and sometimes very visible in my case, so even when bloodwork is coming up clean, visual evidence is still a means to throw it back at the doctor when they’re insinuating nothing is wrong.
