Well, obviously a cyclical process if you cut it down to the basics. I think on a less obvious layer it also implies a not perfectly cyclical process. Far from a perfect circle, it shows a clear discontinuity. This is an important detail! A perfectly cyclical process is unrealistic within (or around) an entropic gradient. An alternative would be a diagram showing a clear I/O but conceptually that could miss the self contained point of it all. Linearize it for example and you got a sine wave that cuts itself upon X axis pass. Overall, it is an infinitely imperfect circle. Perhaps it tells us that even stable orbits can decay yet not even a three body problem has thus far destabilized our solar system all too much. I think it might be the underlying shape for consciousness in general. It's the natural shape of it almost for sure. The open loop, I think that might be what Yggdrasil's symbolic of. I don't know if that means anything or not.

Ouroboros's eternal recurrence refers to the fact that no matter how long you cut a string from there, it'll eventually happen again, but anything can happen between these strings, so there's eternal copies of this moment that have happened in the past, but what follows next may be new, because it can't contain an infinite string of 1s, eventually one longer than all previous ones appears, and this happens with any other string.

It’s reality in its purest form. It represents the cycle of creation and destruction, life and death. The universe comes from a singular point and it will return to nothing.

It's the same concept as the I Ching. History repeats itself in endless variations. The snake eating itself represents history eating itself to produce new forms, as in art or business. If you consider the ouroboros as both static and in motion, you see that the snake continually eats itself while simultaneously maintaining its length. In the classic game Snake, you eat 1 piece of fruit to gain 1 length on your snake. If you could eat the end of the snake instead, you would gain and lose 1 unit at the same time. This concept can be found in zero-sum games, life cycles, and closed energy systems.

Represents God. The circle is the most perfect form there is. A triangle doesn't even come close. The square? Spare me. The pentagram and hexagon are cool, but they are not a circle. God sure can be represented with a circle. The fact that is a sneak eating its own tail signifies that is a perversion of what was originally meant to simbolyze God. Snakes are evil and full of poison. It symbolic, of course. It's evil nature. It destroys itself when there's nothing else to destroy. It literally fucks itself over. Crazy. But that's evil for ya.

A circle is actually an intended fractal, it has infinite sides but its uniformity hides its construction process. As such it's the completed infinite, a shape outside of time. The snake eating its own tail illustrates this beautifully.
