We all get an afterlife. But the caliber on it depends on the person. The more stupid NPC like people aren't really going to have a good enough perception of self and overall existence to get as grand of an afterlife at first.

Some might just want boring reincarnations into the exact same world as they are to stupid to think of other people's perspective without literally being them. Some might wade around in nothingness for ages because they desperately want to insist there's nothingness after death because if they were wrong the dissonance would upset them greatly. Some might just need a real long chat with whatever religious figure they see as the greatest.

In the end we are all capable of fantastic afterlives, even the retards. They just might need a little bit more time to find themselves. Its a scary thought but there's a perfectly plausible chance that you've already been an stupid NPC 20 times over and only now do you realize you could be more.

And most importantly why would the world being filled with retards somehow stop you from great things in death anyway? Unless they live so rent free in your mind that they persist in your head in death you have nothing to worry about. Let them be retarded and just be grateful you're not.

One of the things that never gets talked about is the barrier. When we talk about afterlife, what we're really saying is "what is the next possible experience after my earthly body has been damaged in such a way as to no longer support life?"

Its not a pretty thought, what it takes to "get there." This is why we can imagine horrible things, like what if we were to find ourselves splattered on the pavement, still clinging to life but praying to slip away to nothing, but it never comes? Its difficult to talk about death and the afterlife without addressing what it takes to approach death, but you'll find that is very often exactly what we do.
