I think this is what happened to my childhood friend, he is not the same person I knew growing up. He was always autistic and nerdy but he was a boy and into "guy" things. Even well into middle school he wasn't a fag at all, just autistic. But he was smart and super cool, I used to talk with him for ages. Then one day he started talking about this girl who he said was his friend, I didn't think anything of it even when I never saw her, I guess part of me thought he was making it up but it was weird. Then in high school he got more distant and started growing his hair out. The intelligent conversation just... stopped. One day he told me he had something important to tell me, and he randomly told me he was suicidal all his life. I knew him since 2nd grade, he was always happy and he had a good family life and everything, it came out of nowhere. I promised to help him, then he told me one day that he had "gender dysphoria" and was going to troon out. I didn't support trannies but I never told him that, but I thought I could just pretend he was a girl and everything would be the same. But years later, after trooning out, after hormones and plastic surgery, he is not the same person. I look into his eyes and I do not recognize him. The scariest thing is that he has lost all his intelligence and interests but even his personality changed, and his voice sounds like a screechy demon. I think the tranny soul posessed my friend but maybe I just can't cope with what has become of him.
