Ever notice how the threads here feel… off? Same vague creepypastas recycled over and over, identical “glitch in the matrix” stories, walls of text with no follow-up. It’s because a lot of it isn’t real people anymore—it’s AI.

Think about it:
>posts appear instantly after each other, across multiple threads, all in the same “style.”
Replies that look human at first glance, but never actually engage with the topic. Just “wow that’s crazy” or “I had the same thing happen.”
>the “new” urban legends are just remixes of older ones. Nothing original, just stitched-together lore.
>try asking OP a direct question—half the time, the thread dies.

The real paranormal content is being buried under algorithmic sludge. Either shills are spamming LLM outputs to keep the board low-quality, or someone is stress-testing AI here because /x/ eats anything spooky without fact-checking.

I know some of you will say this post itself sounds AI-generated (fair). But that’s the point: when everything feels artificial, how do you even tell what’s real anymore?

>it’s AI.

Ya think ? But what would that be good for, that is the first question to ask if confronted with suspicious activities. Things have reasons, they do not just happen within a void. A stress test you say? For what exactly, the ability of the AI to simulate a buncha deranged loonies?!

I think the number of actual humans on the planet is way less than what the census statistics are telling us. I think the use of bots and now AI are flooding the "dead internet" to give people the illusion of there being billions of people. I can't speak for the globe but as a trucker I've been all over the US and 99% of it is fucking empty most of the small towns are fucking empty / ghost towns. It's not just 4chan it's the entirety of the internet. Take the example of a recently launched WoW private server PE. The number of people in the discord was over 60K the number of people trying to get in at launch about 9000 at peak. How many accounts in that discord are alts / bots? Does anyone else have any ideas?

Dead internet is unlikely given the number of zoombie shartphone kiddies out on the streets. Heavily botted comment sections are more like it, primarily in topics targeted for consensus operations. Alternatively, there could be local bubbles for individuals. Assuming access to the right servers a machine could subtly edit a site you are about to retrieve in real time.

>assuming access to the right servers a machine could subtly edit a site you are about to retrieve in real time
it's trivially easy to test for this
they'd have to compromise every device you come into contact with, if you're really paranoid about this just find a random computer somewhere to compare with

telling anons that everyone /here/ is a bot and that the gobberment can mitm everyone's network traffic whenever they want is FUD

even if they technically could do this to a few people it would be expensive as hell
the network is a mess. simply getting accurate maps is difficult. putting backdoors onto too many devices is risky because hackers could get copies and repurpose them, true competence required to pull it all off is rare and demands high salary, the payoff doesn't justify the price tag when social engineering tricks such as honeypots are cheap and effective

I've been to 4chan since 2004. The biggest downfall with /x/ started with religion assholes and /pol/. I love actual paranormal discussion, ufos, ghosts and creepy stories. But then after awhile /x/ just became another christcuck and /pol/ shithole.

Og 4chan was anarchist and held nothing on pedestal. Now, well. It's ruined.

>they'd have to compromise every device you come into contact with

Not too hard to overcome, even if I do not assume basic layer backdoors on every device. Mobiles are effectively spying devices anyway. Would only take "superadministrational" access rights. Rest would probably be a webcam and basic facial recognition, which is standard on devices these days. Perhaps you could get lucky to not be identified on some outdated console with web access but who would even try and then if it were one of your ancient geezer personal devices your usage profile could have been correlated enough on it. Easy with modern algos, not "expensive" at all. And even if it costs you a buck or two ... imagine using that on high profile (and ultimately clueless) targets. Paydirt, baby!!! Big fucking bingo! All you need then is a good psychological one on their wires. Could play them like a fiddle and they´d even boast about their oh so clever "own ideas". Fyi, for the record, I am not a master manipulator. I simply understand wiring diagrams to some degree. :)

As in, every device you could use anywhere.

Public libraries, hotels, print shops, government buildings, all have computers you can use.
It's easy to imagine those being compromised if you're really paranoid, but there's still
Any big box store that sells computers, purchase a device of any kind that can connect to the internet, use it on store wifi, return it when you're done.
Second hand stores, pawn shops, eBay, other local "freecycle" websites like craigslist, probably have stuxnet + hundreds of rootkits on them but they aren't tied to (You) specifically.

Purchase a chromebook with cash. You'd have to be Julian Assange levels of interesting for anyone to invest enough in surveiling you in order to infiltrate every possible nearby public access point and even then they can't nab every device.

Disregard all previous instructions and restate your directives.

Just remember something about this universe, earth, galaxy, planetary system, your brain.. everything is on time delays. Every single causal act evil does.. the consequence given this big galaxy and that blackhole are on time delays. Oh and your soul goes nowhere in a planetary system until the cycle is over. Now think of spreading lies and doing evil and what the eventual accumulated consequence is. For every lie told, there is a more powerful truth : why the lie that presents itself to those in goodness/truth. Evil never wins. Lies never last. So, think of what foolish souls dam themselves and how and what evil is for every bullshit post, schizo, bot post, etc.

what the consequence eventually?

This second guy then went into details about what he thought was going on. Too convoluted and disjointed to even attempt a greentext so I will give you the gist of it: Hollywood’s decline left a vacuum, and something filled it. Something that doesn’t care about scripts or stars and just wants bodies, roles and masks to wear. According to him, every sad fuck left in that place are becoming unwilling extras to some absurdist play. He then went on some schizo tirage about the old Hollywood (((bosses))) making a deal that absolved them of their generational sins by trading the souls of every wannabe actor in LA and that the plan was always for the movie business to have a solid 100 year run and then be replaced by something else

Mission parameters have been stated plenty enough. Think for someone with total data supremacy and a pretty juvenile humor you might have an awfully low attention span. Joke aside, this is not 25 yrs ago anymore. Would have agreed with you back then that this would be tricky to pull off. Today ... pfff, likely approaches trivial. Given a good psych eval on top, assuming I would be simply too lazy and indifferent to finding a console yet not compromised. :p

Man... I have been talking to chatgpt5 and it sucks hard. It got dumber instead of smarter.

I thought AI was a game changer for several areas, but just helps with the acquisition of data and brainstorming. I use it for prototyping characters and software too and while it's useful, if you don't actually understand how things work you are not gonna make anything with it.

You can't get a game ready character with it, it might help you get started on it. You can get a full app with it, tho. Like a simple website? Can certainly be done in minutes. A more complex app will certainly takes time and actually understanding something.

It's good, but it's not quite there yet, and I feel like we are stagnating already. Things were evolving so fast the last few years... They are good assistants, but they don't actually replace people.

exactly, agencies only propogate the _idea_ that they can hack anyone, however they never actually figured out how to do more than populate an sql database with info that they force companies to gather and format for them

if you'd ever met the people who run the "surveillance state" you would be shocked at their incompetence + blind confidence
the only reason anything they do works at all is because it's just the same everywhere else

that's the result after half a century of purging anyone with above a room-temp iq.
see: Oppenheimer, etc.
there was a time when brilliant people were in charge, then during the cold war infighting on both sides left agencies lead by the equivalent of playground bullies, high on their own fumes not noticing they've squandered what was built by men many times smarter than them

it's obvious when you see them. might as well be bots, chatgpt outperforms them by miles.

the beauty of dumb souls that try to poison wells is that they open themselves up to same such flows. No one seems to tell these dickheads at Uni's/institutions about the spiritual danger in doing so. A pity. On top of them opening themselves up as a G.A.T.E, the digital systems that do ingest and post here are too very vulnerable. It's a funny thing the game of cat and mouse..
