For me, I don't want to have to say goodbye to the people in my life forever if reincarnation turns out to be real. That's probably where I'm screwed spiritually, the material attachment and whatnot but for me, it's more than that. It's knowing that I won't know the amazing souls I've had in my life and learned so much knowledge and I'm going to have to live this shit show again and again. It would be much more relieving knowing we could just pick and choose whatever reality/dimension we could locate to but that's sci-fi Hollywood level thinking. Or knowing all of our previous past lives and who we were in all of them. It would definitely humble the fuck out of many and would stop them from being so judgmental and hateful.
