I always thought that Islam and Gnosticism were vaguely similar, They both have skepticism over Christianity's authenticity, But they don't align well in the Dualism, But regardless I believe Islam has a lot of hindsight from Gnosticism

Islam is a fake religion created to try and subvert and discredit the only standing covenant (Christianity) between the God they claim to serve. So it makes sense Islam and gnosticism mix, given that "an enemy of my enemy is a friend". But what good is any of this when it's all bullshit? The only truth that matters can only be found through God and you cannot get to God unless you go through Jesus Christ first.

There is no war. That would imply they could compete. The truth is the truth, regardless of whether you accept it or not. Islam claims the Bible is perfectly valid and should be respected. They acknowledge Jesus' existence and consider Him a Prophet. However, they deny the covenant (Christianity) He established. Which shows me they don't acknowledge Him as a Prophet, they don't accept His teachings and the don't respect the Bible. Because if they did, then Islam wouldn't exist. The fact that it does, proves me right. I mean, the new covenant was prophesied in the Old Testament in Jeremiah 31.

Can you point to some specific Gnostic sources that influenced specific beliefs in Islam? I don't just mean mystic traditions like Sufism or in the Shia sphere. I mean mainstream Sunni thought as well.
