How do you feel about a story of a man(or a creature) trapped in a digital dreammatrix generated in an indestructible magitek cube floating through the void leftover after all other things in the universe have basically decayed away into nothingness?

Is this a real possibility that we may be in? Is this a hopeless scenario? Would you want to be in this scenario, or at least in the cube?

Unfortunately we could be a more advanced version of pic related, a lab grown brain. Thousands/millions of us in a CUBE shaped lattice networked together in a shared simulation. Why? Because turns out that would be the most powerful quantum computer imaginable. When we sleep they are using our latent processing power for tasks.
