At what point did you make a deal? It sounds more like your life just got fucked up the normal way (inexperience leading to bad choices).

You didn't make a deal. You just chose what people consider a "normal" life style without knowing the consequences that might come from your actions and choices in life.
If you're going to be normal then don't be uncertain of what your doing is right or not just to fit in
