Coffee is pretty much just good for you if you drink a single cup of black coffee per day.

There are almost no downsides. You think faster for a short time, it improves memory. If you drink only one cup there isn't really a major caffeine crash. No hangovers.

It's bad for your teeth, gum tissue and can leave a bad taste in your mouth.

I used to drink coffee once a day in the morning, stopped because I thought it was giving me stomach problems, then never came back because I literally noticed zero difference

I don't think so, because how it acts on the blood in the veins is different than how it acts past blood brain barrier - though it is likely to aid in delivery somewhat but not vasally.
There are effects on neurotransmitters I suspect, but I don't actually know. The official story is that it aids in neuroplasticity. But I'd love to know more than blanket statements without depthful.
But I love coffee and I don't care how "bad" it is, supposedly. But willing to entertain contrapositive assertions

Coffee is a weird one...
It helps exercise which feels great for the self.
but for work and other tasks it makes you over work yourself for no reason, you still get the same pay so effort should be reflective. Work should be calm and enjoyable not hyper/harder/faster/stressed. Coffee will help your "boss/others" more than yourself.

I think coffee should be used for personal time and never for others time.

I do 1 black cup 16-20g beans in 250-350ml water out. Pour over style nothing extra added. Water + bean.
But even this might not be needed. I quit for 1 month to test and there was definitely a change but my workouts were so much worse without it.

Back on 1 black cup a day.
Take that as you will. My personal experience only.

Coffee strains your adrenals. Dr Berg on youtube (yes, a funny name) has made numerous videos on how coffee is bad for you. Quite literally one of first steps of gaining power is quitting on all caffeine products.

I think the berg guy does 1 small cup of coffee a day or something, but it could be best to not drink any caffeine at all. Try find some "kicks" from different substances, like lemons/lemon acid or something (if you're into sodas, that means substituting cola drinks with sprite/mountain dew/seven up .. you could drink fanta but it doesn't give you any kick like the lemon acid in lemonic sodas does).

I did 1 month since people told me 1 month. But Even at 1 month I felt maybe I should have tried longer.

I think it depends on each person individually and how they feel.

But 2-3 days for caffeine to leave the system. 1-2 weeks for headaches and cravings to go
1 month+ to have control over the addiction.

I use it pre-workout instead of the actual "pre-workouts" full of chemicals and fake flavours.
