Well think about it, if a brain expands, the neurons would to, but the way that they fire they can only go so fast, so the electricity is still traveling through the neurons it just hasnt reached yet, when it does you'll be super smart for a femtosecond, but then they'll have to refire which will take time.
The key is to always keep one foot in the clouds, and one foot planted firmly on the ground. For instance, I appreciate the sanctity of life in this universe, but I also despise foreign gene pools because it's the healthy way to be.
