your thoughts create reality

But what reality? I mean everybody has thoughts, and they are not the same, so somebody's thoughts is prevailing and other not.

cities have a more firm reality (more minds averaging together to a consensus, and rural zones have a more malleable reality (fewer minds competing)
why "magic" works best when alone and isolated behind closed doors, compared to sharing the space with others
things that are close affected more than things that are far

Interesting thesis... but when you say "thoughts", do you mean ideas, speech, or beliefs?

In my opinion, I think the placebo affect is just manifestation rediscovered.
It's common for ancient knowledge to reoccur and be rebranded under new, western names. Like the idea that your mental health affects your physical health.

The placebo affect is the same thing. If you believe something, if you have it in your subconscious that something is real and works, it will become truth.

The placebo effect doesn't just change your feelings it can also change physical reality like making a bone heal faster or whatever

That's just another word for "willpower". If you want something to happen, it will (within reason)

>Does it work?
Yes. To the point new pharmaceuticals are legally required to perform better than placebo in blind studies to ensure it's the medicine having an effect and not the placebo effect.
>If it does, why ?
Nobody knows. It just does. Why do we dream? Why do terminally ill patients occasionally experience a surge in clarity and energy hours before death? Why does sudden infant death syndrome exist?
It just does.

It works because you believe it works. You don’t exist as a living being in a dead exterior world. You exist as a living being in a panpsychic, symbolic world.

The belief drives the outcome which is why the placebo has the same effect as the non-placebo.

The placebo effect only works if you dont know its the effect that you are experiencing. I dont know if there is a study yet about it but the act of even letting the knowledge of the plecebo effect out of the bag could have direct effects on people taking real medications. Because if the placebo effect is real it means the opposite could also be real. If you realize that people taking nothing cured them then what you are taking might not be helping and it could create a downfall effect.

There is an inner "controller" that operates semi-independently of our conscious selves. Picrel, from the book "Sorcery" by J Finley Hurley: https://www.google.com/books/edition/Sorcery/wAhVoAoVyaEC?gbpv=1

But for the sake of argument, in this case it would be clear that both diseases and medicines are the result of our beliefs. This would demonstrate that the entire reality imposed on us, which generates billions in profits for pharmaceutical companies, was perhaps the biggest lie ever invented.
