Satan does not love humanity in Paradise Lost
The idea of Satan as a promethean figure comes from the Bible calling him Lucifer.
The thing is, the Bible never calls him Lucifer, Lucifer was taken from the Latin Vulgate in the one instance it appears and is not a proper name, instead it should be understood to mean "bright morning star" as in Venus.
Moreover, the scripture in question is not about Satan. It is about King Ahaz, comparing him to Venus as an insult.
Satan's actual function in the Bible is that of a prosecutor of mankind, an adversary who accuses and entraps us with legal argumentation.
IE the last person you want to see as a promethean figure.

Thank you for sharing. I knew there was some mix up about Satan/Lucifer since I was inclined to believe that Lucifer refers more to what could be called a cast of Angel, a Shining Star.

Jesus says in Revelation he's the bright and morning star aka Venus.
Obviously it'd be a problem if both he and Satan were the same guy, yet some people really like the Lucifer fan fic.

The one known as Satan created us and designed us. He intended to bring us knowledge and make us as the Gods, but he was prevented from doing so and cursed by some of the other Gods. We did not evolve naturally, as opposed to animals who have overall better health and immunity. Satan wished to bring us to perfection, but some of the other Gods wanted for us to be destroyed after the mission was over and since we were becoming an issue, they attempted to let us all drown in the flood.
