Not really, at least in practice, outside some metaphore. The issue is that to be able to do stuff, one needs lots of personal refinement and build up of (from the standpoint of cosmologies describing such) proper subtle bodies' connections and channels to transform "energies" naturally into something they can work with. That very well may mean from months to years of solid practice before noticeable acts of "magic" are even theoretically possible, yet alone one has practical skills..
So many practices cut corners and force buildup and use of unrefined "energies" like such through normal sexual tension and release, hoping to then "hijack" and guide them to actuate the ritual/spell/whatnot.
It's kinda a ghetto way to power one's magic before having degree of development that would really allow the person to do such stuff as expression of their nature and will - common because while demanding it's easier and sometimes the ONLY accessible way for less developed practitioners to ever have a chance at success with such.
