in late November/early December of 2025, and also, a non-gravitational acceleration of ∼ 5.9 × 10−5
au day−2, normalized at 1 au from the Sun, would indicate an intent to intercept the planet Jupiter,
not far off its path, and a strategy to rendezvous with it after perihelion.

This causes Alexis to leap into action to save the pizza delivery guy from harm. She does - which in turn fulfills Eva's other what-if (what if Alexis met someone). In the end Eva has an interesting story for her class, her neighborhood is thriving and bustling now, her family and friends now have a thriving business, a world-famous actress in helping Alexis become a dancer and Alexis meeting a man.

The story is a metaphor for how imagination alters reality. If enough people tell a story and enough people believe that story - it will be reality. That's how it works - the only reason nothing ever happens is because enough people sincerely believe that, despite all the evidence to the contrary.
