In Egypt, at least, Sirius becomes visible at about the same time that their rainy season begins, so for them it was a sort of new year marker.

Its a binary system I think. When they get closer, things are good. The Golden Age. The mind becomes better. People become more aware. Your spiritual side strengthens. Maybe even gain telepathic powers. Basically you are ascending.

I was reading a book on philosophy then on this chapter about Voltaire it says he wrote a kind of sci-fi novel called Micromégas that I found interesting:

On his way through space he has picked up a gentleman from Saturn, who grieves because he is only a few thousand feet in height. As they walk through the Mediterranean the Sirian wets his heels. Sirius is the dog star, and it also represents Lucifer and his many other aliases and equivalents in different cultures.
This is also why dogs are worshipped so much in the modern age, it is a subtle veneration of Sirius, the core of Canis Majoris. Dog is also God spelled backwards, if you know anything about the true history of the English language and how it was meticulously designed, this makes sense.

I've read the sirius mystery and was so intrigued that I dug a little deeper enough to find that there was an excellent deboonking by several archaelogists about how the Dogon don't believe the nommo came from sirius nor were they seen as heroic or a predecessor species to humanity
Rather, the sirius mystery came about from a colonial Frenchman trying to synchronize his own beliefs (probably masonic or rosicrucian or both) with dogon beliefs.

however what's strange to me is that there could have been to be a genuine ancient aliens type narrative amongst the french colonials at the time considering Marcel Griaule (the frenchman behind the dogon accusations) and Voltaire's works.
