Self-flagellation as a means of accumulating positive karma
Since it's well established that willingly inducing discomfort in oneself (most prominently through abstinence from pleasurable things, such as fasting or semen retention) increases one's magnetism and attracts what is most commonly described as "luck" in many different pursuits, would it be possible to achieve this same effect through whipping yourself to induce severe pain? Would the pain make the effect stronger as opposed to mere discomfort, since it's a much stronger negative sensation?
I have observed many times that the baseline of everything that happens in the world, put into numerical terms, is balanced out to 0, meaning that every positive thing that happens has a negative reaction to balance it out, but most of the time nothing happens. Think of countries, or people, that had a golden age after a dark age. The renaissance after the black plague, the prosperity that followed WWII in Europe when it was rebuilt, and so on.
Essentially, if hunger from fasting is -1, it will be compensated by a random +1 happening afterwards, such as mental clarity opening your eyes to something that you didn't see before and pushing you forward on your way, so it balances out to 0. Do you think it would be possible to cause intense pain to oneself instead, so that for example the -3 is balanced out by a +3 afterwards? Does anyone have any experiences with these practices?

Yep, that's another great example.
It is pretty well documented all over the world, you have it in Germanic, Greek, Roman, Celtic, Slavic, Hindu mythology, some Islamic communities practice it. Christianity is probably the most universal and famous image of that.
I've noticed that it is channeled in a similar way as the energy from fasting and semen retention, and I believe it has more potency, but I have never actually paid attention until some time after the fact because of how immediately distressing it is, as opposed to those two. In retrospect, I realized that there is great magical power in it. The channeling is mostly done by pure instinct and not a conscious effort, though, since it mostly comes from an outside threat as people most often don't realize all of this so they would do it willingly.
In my experience, psychological pain works as well, not just physical pain.
But I'm also interested in others' experiences, hence why I posted here.

>abstinence from pleasurable things, such as fasting or semen retention
The red pill is that fasting and retaining are the real pleasures and overeating and cooming are self harming activities.

Based. I was recently over at /srg/ writing about combining it with water fasting. I did a 3 day fast on a long streak several times, and it's like you max out your luck stats for a couple of days afterwards. More things got done in the two days following the fast than in the entire preceding year combined, and I'm talking stuff I have no direct influence over. It was, pure and simple, the closest thing I have ever experienced to magic/God's grace/whatever you wish to call it.

I wrote "abstinence from pleasurable things" there, but of course I meant immediate pleasure, a cheap dopamine shot, like a piece of chocolate, or a shot of liquor, or cooming, or something similar. Not the deeply fulfilling spiritual kind of pleasure.

If you dive deep into saint's lives ,there is EXTREME asceticism-penance
>st symeon the younger standing so long in a pillar, his gangrenous legs fused together
>henry susso carrying a cross full of unpolished nails, sleeping with leather gauntlets full of spikes
>the other st symeon binding knotted ropes in his body so tight, his body eventually was full of oozing worms
>"bed bound" saints like ST Rafka, st Lydwine, the Breton Stigmatist whom basically had all possible horribly-painful diseases at once
personal opinion: Working at an amazon workhouse + being a renter + staying chaste, in today's world is a horrible daunting task equivalent to the desert fathers of old. I myself would go insane if I live in a city like LA\NYC\Paris, berlin, madrid, barcelona, london, etc...I would go literally schizo in a week

I'm not particularly fond of the Christian brand of martyrdom because more often than not it is too schizo. Personally I believe in physical health, wholeness and fitness, and not mutilating and destroying yourself in hopes of achieving a reward in the afterlife. More along the lines of accumulating and channeling energy, as I've said above. Adding to that, physically unfit people seem to have an abysmally low skill in this, and I myself always got better results when I was in shape and healthy.
Case in point, I've been in the same situation as you (except I wasn't working at amazon but whatever) and my back and feet got completely fucked, but there was no spiritual benefit to it. Every single time. It needs to be willingly induced in a person of sound body and mind, apparently.
