It's true to some extend. In orthodox Christianity it is stated that women gain their salvation through the birth of children, with some monks I've personally talked to, that specifically said from 3 children upwards. As a woman, you have to go through some shit to successfully bring a live human into the world and even more so to raise him well. Sacrifices and toil, it's the curse God put on them.
In this sense, women are NPCs and their purpose is to bring children into the world. The "world as being a school/training ground for souls" applies to men only as only men have souls connecting to God directly. We lose that connection to God if we're paying too much attention to the world, women and what they can give/teach us.
The knowledge of good and evil in the world sense, is the increase in security and decrease of fear that the women actively pursue all their existence, from birth to death. Men live beyond those fears and concerns. As a man, you have the real capacity to live beyond the world.
