let me get this straight?
God is infinite love, infinite goodness. God is inifinite just. He is justice itself. Therefore the innocent are spared and the evil are punished. Makes sense. Then we get to Jesus, God Himself, Justice incarnate. He comes to Earth without original sin and is perfectly moral in every sense of the word. However, instead of being spared, Jesus, deserving not even a mosquito bite, is beaten, tortured, and hung up on a cross by fellow humans. This is the most profound event in history because it is the untimate act of love, God sacrificing Himself made human, still perfect, for our sins, for our fuck ups.
But my question is this? Why are babies and children beaten and killed? Why do children get cancer and die in accidents? They are innocent, and even their sins are too small to deserve their life ending. Is it simply because they were born with the capacity to sin that they can be taken by God at any time? The inverse also. Why do evil scummy people live long healthy lives? Why do so many get away with sin and crime and degeneracy? Why doesn’t lightning strike prisons as often if God is infinitely just?
