there is overwhelming archaeological/anthropoligical/genetic/etc evidence that "the gods" existed. whether its Zeus/Poseidon or their demigod descendants such as Achilles/Heracles, or Egyptian/Vedic/Sumerian gods, you name it.

Gods exist today. Yahweh contacted me, for example. However, nowadays they prefer to act by influencing people to do things they want us to do, and inspiring them ideas they want us to innovate (agency is an illusion, but there seems to be a bit of free will), so it looks like it’s always the product of humans so we don’t blame the Gods and rebel. I asked God what was his name, following instructions I saw on /pol/ from an anon who said God always answered if you followed those steps. Anime, and a few other things, helped me remember Who I Am and that yes, Gods are real and it's actually quite comforting once you better understand them. I was in a dream thread a few days and someone who was talking to The Goddess Aqua commented on how Aqua herself was offended by her depiction in Konosuba. I can understand I suppose, but I would say to Aqua Herself that anime depictions like that, even if goofy and not to certain Gods tastes, do keep Her name Alive and help her power grow in this realm.
