The fact is that the Christians created their god based on the positive aspects of the Bible and Greek philosophy. I even read that the pagans were terrible because they sacrificed animals, um... is it okay that the Jewish temple had a constant fire and there was mass slaughter of livestock?

You can't really know anything about anything other than yourself on a purely logical level. And, say, if the "Greek gods" were really aliens, what does it change? Even a god came from somewhere, I assume, so it's just semantics, and god is a word for alien.

"Malevolent God" would be a massive contradiction. The "good" is defined by that which is resemblant of God's nature. To say that God is bad is to apply your own standard to a being that defines ethics in the first place. This is if you believe the Christian God, of course.

Furthermore, I am not worshipping an alien, even if that alien was the only sort of god that existed. I am worshipping a sovereign, all powerful deity with a specific set of characteristics. Even if He wasn't real, I wouldn't turn out to be worshipping an Elohim alien, but rather a thing that never existed.
It would be like if I told you that I was a massive fan of Coke (having never tried it, but liking the idea of it) and not only did Coke turn out to not exist, but you then come up to me and tell me I was worshipping Pepsi the whole time. Like, no, Pepsi was never in my intent or head, anon.

We don't know, I mean, we can't rally know. All we know is what we experience. For istance, I can know if the person next to me is good or evil by the person's actions. A genuine good person won't lie even when facing some kind of punishment, an honest person knows better than to lie to avoid punishment. Actually, if anything can make a person not face judgement is exactly the act of telling the truth. Anyway, so actions. With God or gods is not possible to do that because they are spirits. We don't see spirits. We don't know what they are talking or how they arre dressing or a lot of things which can gives us information about someone. All we have is what the followers of those spirits act like. Take the crhsitians for example, watch how they act. Eventually I had a dream where I spoke with Isis, or rather she came to me and I asked what a god is and she said "someone who does a lot of good".
I chose to interpret that as meaning that there is more than 1 God, that there may in fact be millions of them who are all benevolent.
