is this type of psychic attack real?

I noticed that since taking spirituality seriously, im getting a lot more insults and derisive remarks? Or the universe sends signs and imagery of "sad" things or insulting things

Has anyone else experienced the same?

If this is real, how can I defend myself?

I shifted my energy into independence , IE stopped "caring" about people after I was repeatedly getting called slurs in passing/under peoples breath. I will admit this decision was done under a negative stress but honestly I'm getting used to it.

I've been flirting away from monotheism and exploring some greek pagan ideas but I haven't done any rituals or anything , just reading up on it

Yeah. I have gotten this before. Sometimes see my name associated with negative stuff, or demonic pfp and usernames. I was getting flipped off in pfps too for a while. I guess the runners of this demonic dreammatrix are effing with us.
