Realized that I am the only consciousness and only aperture which I look through.

Realized that Awareness is God and that Awareness is more precious than Gold.

Everything was always good. Thanks for playing with me. I will put this gameboard in the bin after I warp back up to my mansion. It is distasteful.

Charity work requires no money. Make some phone calls and stop gaslighting yourself into thinking wanting to help is equivalent to helping. It's not.

He posted an image of a man who encouraged people to give away their worldly possessions and live their lives helping others. Not ignore others to pursue more worldly goods.

You can spend one of your days off volunteering at a local soup kitchen, helping at a local school, lending a hand at a church, or even something as small as helping the elderly or disabled with mowing their yard. You don't need money - you need time. And unless you're working multiple jobs you have at least some time to help others. You don't need to be perfect to be helpful. You don't need to rich to offer charity. You just need to be a human being who is willing to do more than think about helping others and actually do it.

>You don't need money - you need time
Nta but no, you dont need these two. What you want is impact: not maintaining a status quo but transforming someone. That means being able to uplift someone who is poor from the cycle they are stuck in. The greater work is that which sets people free and gives them new perspective. If you want to make impact, focusing on yourself to grow and then affect 10 fold the people is real impact.

If you have the potential to be more but you take contentness with a local soup kitchen then you might be missing the mark in the same way as someone who might be netflixing their time away. It's not like that volunteering spot isnt gonna be filled by someone else. It depends on the circumstances.

What if instead of working on your day off you worked a real job that could help even more with actual money? I mean, if you make more than the basic charitable work you are providing would could make a bigger difference by paying more people or donating instead of wasting hours of your day with blue collar jobs.
If you ain't making enough to do that you shouldn't be worried about other people, but about your survival.

Have you guys ever seen the financial breakdown on charity donations and how they're applied to the cause?
Depending on the organization as little as single digit percentage contributions actually get used.
Yeah, fuck that. Donate your time and do something to make a person's day.

Find a poor person and help the poor person. You could even employ someone, it would be more helpful than spending a day of the week giving food to the homeless.

>I want to help people, but I don't actually want to put in the effort required to help them. I just want to throw some paper in their general direction to help myself sleep better at night. Until then, I'll continue saving more paper and putting off actually helping them or throwing the paper I've saved at them because I have some vague point in the future to use as a reference for how good of a person I actually am. It's not my actions that matter, but my intentions. And so long as my intentions are positive, I can continue living my life smiling at those in need confident that someone else or isn't me and who isn't helping them right now, or maybe who is me possibly decades later, is helping them right now in their time of need.
Stop the mental gymnastics. If you aren't contributing to your community now then you never will. Good thoughts and feelings mean nothing in the face of hardship.

how is this relevant to what I posted? Are you any better when you are ""helping your """"community""" vs doing research and development or run a small or medium business generating value so 20 people can make a living?

I think truly the only thing in life you can do is share something with someone else. Be it a story or jokes or information. Life is filled with pain. So whenever someone gives me something to think about or be entertained by I appreciate it and them by extension. No matter how big or small that thing is you’ll have given someone something to think about. Peace and love y’all

If you have kids you have no right to Kys you forfeited that right when they were born. I'm sorry to say this because people deserve the right to choose but you don't have that right anymore. You need to get healthy for their sake. Try buddhist meditation or TRE excercises on that other thread on the board.

Why is it so important to have to improve the world? Is it not enough to simply ensure that I don't wrong others or take from others without giving back what's due? If I live a truly neutral life, why am I expected to have to give back. If I am free and able in a certain situation then sure I guess why not but that's more of a circumstantial thing. If I for whatever reason desire help, then I'll be sure to return or pass on the favor until I believe that the debt has been repaid. But beyond that I truly don't see why it must be an inherent obligation to try to improve the world. To the point where some spiritual ideals say that I am a sinner for not thinking that way.
