I'd imagine, obviously, before sin to be basically perfect. Earth and plants would be tremendous everywhere, can only imagine the smell, animals that aren't eating each other, Adam naming the animals and him and Eve just chilling with them. It's closest thing to Heaven as a paradise on earth can get I'd assume.

Before the flood, was full of sin, so I'd imagine, well, every sin happening so much everywhere that God felt the proper and best and most just/good way to deal with it was flooding everything besides these few select things.

TLDR; Pre-Sin Flood, basically Paradise second only to the Heavens.

Pre-Noah flood, absolutely horrendous.

Even if that were to be true, I'm sure there are plenty of metaphors you could use for what the flood actually was other than water, and it says in the Bible that a heavenly rain flooded the earth from The Heavens, so yes, The Ark was a boat, or an Ark, and there was so much water that it took Noah, if I'm not mistaken, about a month after the rain subsided that a dove he sent out finally find a tree that wasn't fully submerged to rest the sole of her foot on.
